INSTITUTE FOR GOVERNMENT

The Institute for Government is an independent charity that works across UK political parties and with Whitehall to increase government effectiveness. They work with all the main political parties at Westminster and with senior civil servants in Whitehall and provide evidence based advice that draws on best practice from around the world. They also undertake research, provide the highest quality development opportunities for senior decision makers and organise events to invigorate and provide fresh thinking on the issues that really matter to government.

BRIEF
One of their employees, Hana Maitland, approached us wanting to enhance her photography skills so that she could attend all official events and, as the Institute’s in-house photographer, record those events for pr and website use.

WHAT WE DID
We thought a 121 Digital SLR In-depth Beginners course would be best for Hana. This way, the times were flexible so that she could attend after work and, as a 121, have dedicated teaching. Each week she received a module to take away and an assignment to help her really get to grips with her camera.

When the Institite decided that they would like to invest in some photographic equipment to raise the level of their photography, we also advised them on a full package of semi-professional equipment and sourced it for them.

TESTIMONIAL
“Hi Robert,

Thank you for all your help and patience throughout my 6 week course! I truly feel like I’ve come a long way in the past couple of months. I am far more confident with both the new camera and my skills in photography, and I will continue to strengthen these skills thanks to how thorough you have been and the helpful notes I’ve been able to take (I keep referring to them as I’m out and about!)

I will keep in touch and you’ll be the first to know as soon as I am able to advance my current level with another course! I really appreciate you taking the time out of your schedule to give me the experience of a one-on-one course with a professional photographer.

Many Thanks,”

Hana Maitland
